Welcome to The Stables Café
The Stables Café is a cafe which opened in September 2008 in the idyllic location of Saul Junction.
Firstly, why 'The Stables'. Well... the building that was renovated for the café was once, a long time ago, the stables that were used for the horses that towed vessels up and down the canal. It is known by locals of the canal as 'The Stables' and therefore where the name has generated from.

The cafe consists of a downstairs seating area next to the serving counter, a further seating area upstairs, a garden area and also a terrace from the upstairs room looking over the canal and surrounding area.
We are open seven days a week and everyone is welcome. Whether you just want a cup of tea or a hot lunch we have something for everyone.
We are basing our menu on ingredients from local suppliers and will be serving from a menu and specials on the blackboards which will change regularly. There will also be on offer homemade cakes and ice-cream.
Hope to see you soon
